What is Coffee Grounds Dryer?
Our coffee grounds rotary dryer is specialized industrial drying equipment designed to process high-moisture spent coffee grounds from coffee factories, beverage plants and instant coffee manufacturers. Fresh discarded coffee residues usually contain 55%~70% inherent moisture; after drying via our rotary dryer, material moisture can drop to 8%-12%, meeting standard requirements for biomass pellet production, animal feed raw material and organic fertilizer processing.
Matching with built-in cyclone dust collector as shown on layout drawing, the whole drying system achieves sealed low-dust production, effectively solving stickiness, agglomeration and uneven drying troubles of high-protein coffee grounds. Working Principle of Coffee Grounds Dryer
Wet coffee grounds are transported into rotary cylinder via feeding conveyor. As the cylinder slowly rotates, internal lifting flights lift and drop raw materials repeatedly to form full suspension contact with high-temperature hot air inside the barrel. Moisture inside coffee grounds quickly evaporates into water vapor, which is discharged together with fine dust via exhaust pipeline into cyclone dust collector for separation. Clean waste gas is exhausted, collected fine coffee powder returns to finished product, and dried low-moisture coffee grounds discharge from dryer outlet for further deep processing.
